2026 April Social Night & Tony's memoirs

Tony Long talks a lot. Or rather he gives a lot of talks. U3A groups, WI groups and, quite frankly, anybody who’ll listen. He talks about Midsomer Murders, pantomime dames, Thame Players, cryptic crosswords and even the explorer, Ernest Shackleton. But what he’s never done before is talk about himself. But all that is about to change.

At the social evening this coming Wednesday, Tony will be talking about his newly written memoir which he has called "Enter Stage Right". He’ll explain why he wrote it, what it contains and particularly about the 44 years he’s been a member of Thame Players. There will be lots of pictures which he is sure will invoke memories for those who have been part of TP for many years. So if you are nostalgic or just curious, come along to this Wednesday’s social evening, maybe enjoy a glass of wine and reminisce.

Every third Wednesday of the month (when possible) we throw the doors open at 7:30pm to welcome members, friends, neighbours and anyone who is just curious about the theatre.

The bar is open and there is always someone on hand who can show you around and tell you about the different roles available and hopefully share some of the fun that we have by making theatre happen.

Everyone welcome.
