Join Thame Players - Become a Member

Thame Players is a place where there are so many new skills I can take up and have a go at.

If you are interested in getting involved in any way then we would be delighted to hear from you.

We are always on the lookout for new members. We need actors, directors, sound and lighting technicians. We also need people to produce, stage manage, construct sets, look after props, help with make-up and take care of wardrobe and costumes.

Many people also help with our front of house facilities, managing our bar, selling programmes and ensuring all our guests are safe and enjoy themselves.

This doesn't mean you need to have experience in these roles (although that's welcome too). If you want to try new things, we'll provide training and support, you just need to bring enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

If you are interested in getting involved in any way then we would be delighted to hear from you. Perhaps you might like to help with one of our supporting roles such as maintenance, advertising, or one of the many other jobs that always need doing.

How To Join

You can join us via our on-line membership form. Once you are a member you will receive a copy Backdrop, our monthly newsletter, and any additional emails about events and activities within the Theatre.

If you prefer to take a look around, and meet us before you join, then you are welcome to come along to one of our social or rehearsal evenings. Please do first send a note to our membership coordinator (membership@thameplayers.co.uk) so that we can have someone on hand to show you around.

Adult and Family Membership

Membership is divided into Adult/Full (plus children), Junior and Friend membership. Couple (plus children) memberships offer a discount for members living at the same address.

If you wish, your under children (under 18 years old) can be added to your Adult or Couple membership free of charge.

Junior membership

While we offer junior membership for under eighteen's, Thame Players are not currently running an active junior section for children. We do not run regular training sessions or shows specifically for younger members. For children wanting training in theatre, we suggest you consider Thame Youth Theatre or Catkids.

Friend membership

If you would like to be involved with Thame Players without playing full part in the acting or backstage roles, then you can join as a Friend.
