The Boodlums' Cul-De-Sac Show

Yes, The Boodlums are at the ‘end of the road’ due to one of the band members moving half-way round the world (well, Hastings actually). The band will be presenting their final performances of comedy and musical chaos at the Thame Players Theatre, featuring playlists that includes pop parodies, old-time songs and rock anthems. Come and see them literally go ‘pop’ as they mine, or undermine, a hundred years of popular music at the sweet spot where music and comedy collide – never have the terms ‘terribly good’ and ‘awfully funny’ seemed so apt.

Their act combines foot-stomping music and irresponsible humour, with the standard rock line-up of ukulele, washboard, phonofiddle, swanee whistle and so much more. The band crashes through different genres of music, finding unexplained humour in the best and worst of popular music.
Tickets £14 (concessions £13)

These shows may not be accurately described as the ‘Best of the Boodlums’, but you can be sure they will be fast-moving because, as they point out, people like to get home early.
