Midsomer Music and More

Midsomer Music and More combines a musical journey on the theremin with a talk on the Magic of Midsomer. This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the ever-popular ITV detective drama Midsomer Murders. To mark the occasion Thame Museum has organised an exhibition all about the show and, as part of the exhibition, they have arranged, in collaboration with Thame Players, a concert by renowned theremin performer, Lydia Kavina. The theremin is the unusual musical instrument used in the Midsomer Murders opening theme. Lydia is accompanied by the virtuoso pianist, Maki Sekiya. To complement the musical performance, Tony Long will give a talk on the history of Midsomer Murders and the role Thame has played in the show's filming.
